Open Position
cryoWrite designs and manufactures robots for microfluid-based protein purification and fast and lossless nanoL grid writing, preparing biomacromolecules, organelles, or cells for visualization by transmissions cryo-EM. The automated sample preparation provided by our robots removes the main remaining bottleneck in a scalable proteomics pipeline, from cell to structure, which will radically transform the drug discovery process.
Key Responsibilities
- Add new features, behavioral patterns, and protocols to the cryoWriter robot.
- Interface and control hardware with ROS2 (rclpy).
- Integration of sensors and actuators (EtherCAT, Serial).
- Frontend development (PyQt or PySide).
- Optimize control with computer vision (OpenCV, GenICam).
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Strong development skills in Python.
- Able to work autonomously, using and extending existing code base
- Experience in interacting with hardware / sensors / actuators.
- Skilled in writing understandable code, developing and optimizing applications, and collaborating via Git.
- English is mandatory; German is optional.
- Ability to communicate logically and precisely, motivated to contribute your insights and to learn from others.
